Travel stories

I have a travel bucket list. While young and 'free' I would like to see a bit of this big world we are living in. Especially the places on the other side of this planet. If there might be kids in the future, I would still love to do some traveling. But then probably a bit more closer to home. Over the last few years I visited some wonderful places. Some with my boyfriend, with friends or with my family. Lovely! Here are some of my travel stories! The stories start from the moment I started this blog.

Upcoming: USA - Las Vegas, National Parks - San Fransisco (May 2017)

Next upcoming is the other side of the USA. In 2014 we visited the east side with bully New York, businessy Washington and sunshine state Florida. Now it is time for the other side and visit the national parks around as Vegas and San Fransisco..... by camper!

Stockholm (May 2016)

A new travel countdown, Stockholm! In May 2016. A trip with the family. We had a wonderful city trip there

Indonesia - Java, Bali and Komodo Islands (September 2015)

It was time for a new travel countdown as a trip to Indonesia was booked. Some travel equipments and vaccinations needed to be fixed and off we could go. A 14 hour flight later we were in beautiful Indonesia. For our travel companion it meant seeing his Indonesian girlfriend again. And him visiting Indonesia for the tenth time, meant we had ourselves a 'tour guide' and a 'translator'. I wrote a short story about our trip. 

Rome (May 2015)

A city trip to beautiful Rome. I have visited this city three times now, and it is so worth it. The city centre breaths history with of course the lovely Italian feel.

USA - New York, Washington, Florida (May 2014)

For the first time really to the other side of the world. Visiting a different continent: the USA. I couldn't wait. So I again I did a countdown. Started in New York, after that we visited Washington, and we made a road trip through Florida. From Orlando, to Sanibel Island, to Key West and ended in Miami. 

Antwerp (December 2013)

Close to home is Antwerp. Just a one day visit with friends to go and see the Christmas markets. Unfortunately we went on december 30th, so Christmas (of course) was already over. Still a nice day in Antwerp with some hot choco and Belgian Waffles. 

Portugal (September 2013)

Together with friends we made a fortnight trip by car around Portugal. Visiting Porto, Braga, Nazaré, Sintra, Estoril and Lisbon. What a beautiful country!

Gran Canaria (October 2011)

 

Visiting the Canary Islands and more specifically Gran Canaria. A short holiday after I finished my masther thesis and graduated university. The most southern point of Europe, next to Africa.
